ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team earned 14 spots on the Empire 8 All-Star Team. Senior defensive tackle Joe Goetz (New Hyde Park/New Hyde Park), junior tight end Dan Higgins (Gates-Chili/Rochester), senior offensive tackle Jake Queener (Geneva/Geneva) and sophomore kicker Andrew Rogowski (Canisius/East Amherst) were named to the first team.

LAST WEEK: The Bombers retained the Cortaca Jug traveling trophy by holding off the visiting Cortland Red Dragons 23-20.

ITHACA, N.Y. –Senior Chad Herring (Unatego/Otego) of the Ithaca College football team has been named to the District I College Division All-Academic Team. Herring, a first-team choice as a defensive back , has advanced to the ballot for academic all-America honors.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Sophomore Andrew Rogowski (Canisius/East Amherst) has been named Empire 8 Special Teams Player of the Week. It's the second straight award for Rogowski and the third time this year he's won (he was also picked after the win over Widener).
 

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Junior running back Dan Ruggiero (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl, Pa.) ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns, sophomore free safety Kevin Cline (Waldwick/Waldwick, N.J.) recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass and sophomore Andrew Rogowski (Canisius/East Amherst) kicked three field goals as Ithaca (7-3) retained possession of the Cortaca Jug traveling trophy with a 23-20 win over the visiting Red Dragons (7-3).
