Stanford, Calif. -- TIthaca College gymnastics team ranked ninth nationally in academic rankings released by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women, the sport's national governing body. In the NACGC/W's rankings, Ithaca's3.47 team grade-point average was ninth among all 64 women's gymnastics programs and third among Division III schools.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca gymnastics coach Rick Suddaby will be inducted into the Cortland C-Club Hall of Fame in October. Suddaby is one of eight 2009 Hall of Fame inductees, and becomes the seventh current Ithaca head coach to be inducted into their respective alma mater’s hall of fame.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior Frances Ente (Fairfield Warde [Conn.]/Mattapoisett, Mass.) of the Ithaca College gymnastics team has been named to the Academic All-America Team. Ente was a second-team selection to the 30-member College Division Women’s At-Large Academic All-America team.

ITHACA, N.Y. – A total of 10 new members have been elected to the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame. The annual induction ceremony will be held Oct. 10, in the Emerson Suites on campus as part of Ithaca's Homecoming Weekend. The 10 inductees represent nine sports. Joining the Hall of Fame will be Sue Bender ’93, Barry Cohen ’80, Michael Ferrara ’80, TJ Gamba ’87, Lisa Gould ’87, Renee Helbok ’99, Chris Matteotti ’96, Margaret Pilling ’81, Todd Stephan ’96 and Nicki Swan ’97.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior Frances Ente (Fairfield Warde [Conn.]/Mattapoisett, Mass.) of the Ithaca College gymnastics team was named to the District I College Division At-Large All-Academic First Team. Ente is a four-time first team all-American gymnast at Ithaca, earning that distinction on the uneven parallel bars in all four of her collegiate seasons. She is the second Bomber gymnast to earn all-America status four consecutive years on the same event.
