ITHACA, N.Y. -- Merle "Mike" Greene, a former coach and faculty member at Ithaca, passed away Friday at 89. Greene served as head coach of Ithaca's golf, wrestling and men's cross country teams during his career and was an assistant coach with the football team. Greene served as a physical education professor for three decades, beginning in 1958.

Geneseo, N.Y.--Sophomore
Daniel Craighead (Ithaca/Ithaca) earned all-region honors with a 33rd place showing to pace Ithaca at Saturday's NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship, held at Letchworth State Park. As a team, the Bombers placed 11th of 38 teams, scoring 299 points. They finished just two points out of the top 10.

Geneseo, N.Y.--The Bombers will compete Saturday at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship, hosted by Geneseo at Letchworth State Park. Ithaca his finished at the top 10 at the meet in each of the last three years. The top two teams will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship. The next three teams will be considered for at-large berths. The top seven finishers whose teams are not selected will also qualify.

ITHACA, N.Y.--The Bombers maintained their eighth-place ranking in the Atlantic Region in the latest poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Saratoga Springs, N.Y.—Led by four first-team all-conference performances, Ithaca placed second at Saturday’s Empire 8 Championships, held at Saratoga Spa State Park. With 33 points, Ithaca was just eight behind champion Rochester Institute of Technology, currently ranked 26th in the nation. The Bombers have finished first or second at all seven conference championship meets.
