ITHACA, N.Y.--Junior Max Orenstein (Trumbull/Trumbull, Conn.) of the men's track & field team was named Empire 8 Athlete of the Week on Monday. He was the top Division III runner in two sprints at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the Armory. The weekly honor was the second of the season for Orenstein.

Syracuse, N.Y.--Senior Andrew Brown (Monmouth Regional/Tinton Falls, N.J.) and freshman Jeffrey Willis (Canastota/Canastota) both competed in the pole vault at Saturday's Syracuse Invitational. Willis placed sixth of 28 athletes--including second among Division III participants--at 4.50 meters (14-9"). Brown did not clear the opening height.
