ITHACA, N.Y. – Four members of the Ithaca College men’s track & field team have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Track and Field Team. Only 11 schools had more representatives on the all-academic team, which recognizes student-athletes who have compiled a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 and met the NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying mark. Ithaca’s four award winners were more than any other Empire 8 school, produced and no New York had more athletes honored. In addition, the Bombers ranked 31st of 267 men’s track & field programs nationally with a team GPA of 3.190.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca swept the Empire 8's men's outdoor track & field awards, with senior Cory Petermann (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) named Field Athlete of the Year, sophomore Jeff Wetmore (Maple Grove/Bemus Point) selected Track Athlete of the Year and freshman Doug Koury (Nashoba/Stow, N.H.) honored as Rookie of the Year. Ithaca's Jim Nichols was picked as Coach of the Year.

Marietta, Ohio--The Bombers closed their season Thursday, competing at the NCAA Championships. The meet was hosted by Marietta at Don Drumm Stadium. Senior Cory Petermann (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) and sophomores Kyle Devins (Ausable Valley/Peru), Max Orenstein (Trumbull/Trumbull, Conn.) and Jeff Wetmore (Bemus Point/Maple Grove) were in action for Ithaca.
