ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team finished the 2009-10 season ranked 17th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and first singles player, freshman Cristina Nunez (Morris Hills/Rockaway, N.J.) earned the program's highest ever individual ranking in singles play, according to the ITA end-of-year rankings released June 10.

Williamstown, Mass. – The Ithaca women's tennis team (15-5) saw its season come to an end Friday morning with a 5-2 loss to Wheaton College (17-2) in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship in a regional played at Williams College. The Bombers were ranked 17th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and Wheaton was ranked 10th. Ithaca's 15-win season is tied for the best win total in program history, matching the 15-8 season in 2008-09.

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (15-4) earned its fourth-straight berth in the NCAA Tournament by winning the Empire 8 title, and Monday night found out its first-round opponent and regional venue for the event. Ithaca will face Wheaton (Mass.) in the first round of the tournament Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Williamstown, Mass. The Bombers are the Empire 8's lone representative in the 48-team NCAA Tournament.

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team moved up six places in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region rankings to 17th after concluding its regular season with a pair of wins over regionally-ranked opponents New Paltz and William Smith, finishing the regular season with a 15-4 overall record. The Bombers are also ranked 13th in the Northeast Region by the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee.

Geneva, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team concluded its regular season with its second straight win over a regionally-ranked opponent with a 5-4 victory at William Smith Wednesday afternoon. Ithaca (15-4) is ranked 23rd in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and William Smith is ranked 21st in the region.
