ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three members of the Bomber women's track & field team were honored by the Empire 8 with sophomore Marcia McCord (Rancocas Valley/Mount Holly, N.J.) named Track Athlete of the Year and freshmen Emma Dewart (Barker/Barker) and Jessica Hoeffner (Hauppage/Hauppage) voted Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively. In addition, Ithaca's Jennnifer Potter was named Coach of the Year.

Marietta, Ohio—Sophomore Marcia McCord (Rancocas Valley/Mount Holly, N.J.) and freshman Emma Dewart (Barker/Barker) both competed for the second straight day at the NCAA Championships on Friday. McCord ran in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash and qualified for Saturday’s final. Dewart concluded the heptathlon, placing 10th overall. The meet is being held at Marietta’s Don Drumm Stadium.
