ITHACA, N.Y. – A total of 10 new members have been elected to the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame. The annual induction ceremony will be held Oct. 10, in the Emerson Suites on campus as part of Ithaca's Homecoming Weekend. The 10 inductees represent nine sports. Joining the Hall of Fame will be Sue Bender ’93, Barry Cohen ’80, Michael Ferrara ’80, TJ Gamba ’87, Lisa Gould ’87, Renee Helbok ’99, Chris Matteotti ’96, Margaret Pilling ’81, Todd Stephan ’96 and Nicki Swan ’97.

ITHACA, N.Y.—Senior right-handed pitcher Pete MacDaniel (Schuylerville/Locust Grove, Va.) was named a second-team all-American by D3baseball.com Wednesday. He was the only Empire 8 player honored and one of four players from the New York Region to be named to the team. MacDaniel is the program’s 25th all-American.

ITHACA, N.Y.--Baseball right-handed pitcher Tom Fishback (Penfield/Webster) was named to the District I College Division All-Academic team as a second-team selection. He is the ninth Ithaca baseball player to be named to an academic all-region team over the past 12 seasons.

Farmingdale, N.Y..--Cortland (31-13) eliminated Ithaca (29-10) from the NCAA playoffs Thursday, scoring twice in the bottom of the eight en route to a 3-2 win. The Bombers had held the lead since the seventh inning, when sophomore Trevor Wolf (Freeville/Lansing) hit his first career home run to break a 1-1 tie.
