Volleyball Sweeps Oneonta 3-0

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The volleyball team defeated Oneonta 3-0 (30-25, 30-24, 30-28) to improve to 20-10 on the season, while the Red Dragons dropped to 17-12. Junior outside hitter Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/ Horseheads) recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 15 digs and added a career-high seven blocks to lead the Bombers.

Junior outside hitter Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Port Jervis) also registered a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs. Freshman middle hitter Jen Heberton (Darien/Darien, Conn.) added 10 kills and freshman setterCorinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) notched 48 assists, six digs and three service aces.
 
Ithaca will next compete at this weekend's Empire 8 Crossover, hosted by Elmira. The Bombers will open against St. John Fisher Saturday at noon before taking on Nazareth Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
