The women's lacrosse team (3-3, 2-1 Empire 8) evened its record at 3-3 with a 21-6 rout of Elmira Wednesday. For head coach
Karen Hollands, the win was her 50th at the helm of her alma mater.
Sophomore
Kylie McClure (Upper Arlington/Columbus, Ohio) led the Bombers with career-high totals of five goals and six points. Sophomore
Lauren Fitzgerald (William H. Hall/West Hartford, Conn.) and sophomore Khrista Fieselmann
(Bridgewater-Raritan/Bridgewater, N.J.) both posted career-best scoring totals, collecting four and two goals, respectively. Senior
Sarah Knauf (Irondequoit/Rochester) matched a career-high with three goals.
Senior
Meagan Howell (Newark/Newark) netted three goals, sophomore
Sarah Cox (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) collected three points (including two assists) and junior
Becky Bedard (East Longmeadow/East Longmeadow, Mass.) matched a career-high with four assists.
Bedard raised her career total to 50 assists and is the sixth Bomber to reach that total.
Senior goalie
Emily Brooks (Ward Melville/Setauket) made nine saves.
Hollands, a 1994 Ithaca graduate and member of the school’s Hall of Fame, is 50-34 in six-plus years at Ithaca and 84-60 overall.
The Bombers continue conference play this weekend, playing at St. John Fisher Saturday and at Nazareth Sunday.
