ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College finished in 14th place in the final standings for the U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings. The standings for the Sports Academy Directors’ Cup (formerly known as the Sears Cup) are determined by a school’s finish in NCAA playoff competition in selected sports. Ithaca, who placed 21st in last year's standings, is one of nine schools to have placed in the top 30 in each of the award's first 12 years (along with Amherst, Calvin, Cortland, Emory, Middlebury, College of New Jersey, Williams and Wisconsin-La Crosse).

        Ithaca finished with 585.00 points, trailing 13th-place Wisconsin-Stevens Point by 2.25 points. Williams, who has won 12 of the 13 Directors' Cups, finished first. Ithaca received points for post-season appearances in baseball, women’s crew, women's cross country, football, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, women's soccer, softball, women’s swimming & diving, women’s outdoor track & field, women’s tennis and wrestling.
