ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three members of the Bomber women's track & field team were honored by the Empire 8 with sophomore Marcia McCord (Rancocas Valley/Mount Holly, N.J.) named Track Athlete of the Year and freshmen Emma Dewart (Barker/Barker) and Jessica Hoeffner (Hauppage/Hauppage) voted Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively. In addition, Ithaca's Jennnifer Potter was named Coach of the Year.
McCord, who earned all-America honors in the 200 and 400-meter dashes this spring, won Empire 8 titles in both those events as well as the triple jump as the Bombers won the conference title for the fifth time in six years.
