Former Bomber Standout Competes At USA Championships

Eugene, Ore. -- --Amanda (Laytham) LoPiccolo, a 2004 Ithaca graduate, competed in two events at the USA Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon. Laytham placed 22nd in Thursday's 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:24.08, and finished 14th in Friday's 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:12.42.

As a Bomber, Laytham was a seven-time all-American and a 17-time state champion. She earned all-America honors in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field and won the Iris Carnell Award as the top female athlete in her senior class.
