Former Ithaca Administrator Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Phil Langan

San Antonio, Texas -- Phil Langan, who spent six years as sports information director at Ithaca, was inducted into the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Veterans Hall of Fame at the recent CoSIDA workshop. He was part of the inaugural class of inductees.

Langan worked as Ithaca's sports informatio director from 1966 to 1973. He was the first person inducted into Ithaca's Hall of Fame who was not an athlete or a coach; Langan was the Hall of Fame's only inductee in 1974. During his tenure at Ithaca, Langan won 15 awards for his publications earning top honors for his baseball, basketball, football and soccer brochures.

He went on to serve as SID at Princeton, Cornell and Brown.
