Chestertown, Md. - The baseball team (5-6) opened up a 6-0 lead through three innings and never looked back on the way to 13-3 win at Washington College Saturday. Senior first baseman Eric Ferguson (Columbia/East Greenbush) went 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs.

Ferguson had singles in the first and second innings before hitting doubles in the third and fifth innings. He had a chance for a five-hit game in the sixth inning, but was hit by a pitch.

The Bombers roughed up Washington pitching all game, scoring runs in seven of the nine innings and knocking out 17 hits. Eleven different Bombers recorded a hit. Ithaca scored two runs in each of the first three innings, then scored two runs in the fifth and sixth innings to expand their lead to 10-1.

Sophomore outfielder T.J. Abone (Rome Free Academy/Rome) recorded three hits in five at-bats, while junior outfielder Jared Roth homered in the eighth inning.

Senior pitcher Shane Wolf (Lansing/Freeville) pitched six innings, giving up no earned runs. He struck out seven and gave up just five hits and two walks. Junior Bryan Gardner (Fairport/Fairport) pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.
