Orange, Calif. – The #4 Bombers (6-4) concluded their spring trip with a 3-2 win over Bellevue.
Senior Carly Myers (Claremont Secondary/Victoria, British Columbia) earned her third win of the season with a complete game and senior second baseman Jessica Stangarone (Brewster/Brewster) drove in the winning run with a fourth-inning single.
The Bombers took a 2-0 lead in the third on a run-scoring double by freshman outfielder Kait Dolan (Victor/Farmington) and an RBI triple by senior shortstop Erica Cutspec (Fort Plain/Fort Plain). After Bellevue tied the game in the top of the fourth, Stangarone’s hit drove in senior catcher Stacy Pelesz (Hudson/Livingston) to put the Bombers ahead to stay.
Cutspec recorded her third three-hit game of Ithaca’s spring trip and stole her third base of the season.
The Bombers travel to Salisbury Saturday to face the host Sea Gulls and College of New Jersey.
