West Palm Beach, Fla. -- The women's lacrosse team opened its season with a 14-12 loss to Vassar Tuesday.

Medla matched a career-high with five goals and raised her career total to 128 points, tying Tara Szigethy for 14th on the program's all-time list. She scored three goals in a span of 1:13 to help Ithaca cut Vassar's 12-7 lead to one goal midway through the second period.
