2006: Weverbergh played in eight games and made four starts at fullback. He caught 14 passes, the most of any Bomber back, including a season-high five in the Cortaca Jug game. He added three receptions at both St. John Fisher and Alfred. Weverbergh’s first catch of the season went for a 34-yard touchdown in the Buffalo State win.
2005: Weverbergh played in every game, appearing at tight end and fullback and on special teams. He caught his first career touchdown pass in the win over #17 St. John Fisher. He caught a season-best three passes in the win over Alfred that clinched the Empire 8 title. Weverbergh started the Springfield and Alfred games at fullback. His 12 catches matched the most by a Bomber freshman since Dan Hayes set a school record with 20 catches in 1994. Weverbergh’s 15 special teams tackles were second on the team. He collected three tackles in kick coverage in the Hartwick and Alfred wins. He was named Ithaca’s Hustler of the Week following the season-opening win at Buffalo State.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Staples High School, Weverbergh was coached by Marce Petraccio. He was all-area, all-county and all-state.
Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Skip and Mary Ann Weverbergh.
