Rochester 10, Keuka 2 (five innings)

Ithaca, N.Y. -- The second-seeded Rochester Yellow Jackets (33-10) won their second game in as many days, beating the sixth-seeded Keuka Storm (24-7) 10-2 in Friday's second game of the NCAA regional being held at Ithaca College. The game was shortened to five innings. Keuka will face third-seeded St. John Fisher in an elimination game Friday at 4 p.m. and the Yellow Jackets advance to face etiher Cortland or Buffalo State Saturday at 10 a.,m. The double-elimination tournament concludes Sunday.

Three of the first four Yellow Jackets scored in the first inning and Rochester added seven third-inning runs. Shortstop Lindsay Macaluso and left fielder Kim Grimes both singled twice and scored two runs. First baseman Brittany Celeste added two hits and two runs batted in and right fielder Elizabeth Slupinski drove in a pair of runs.

Rochester starter Beth Ameno allowed one hit in two innings of work. Sara Hutchinson earned the win, pitching the final three innings.

Shortstop Brittany Schrock and first baseman Sara James each had two of Keuka's six hits. The Storm scored both their runs in the bottom of the fifth.
