Ithaca, N.Y. -- The top-seeded Cortland Red Dragons (42-6) remained unbeaten in the NCAA regional hosted by Ithaca College, beating fourth-seeded Buffalo State () 3-0. The Red Dragons play second-seeded Rochester Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Bengals facing either St. John Fisher or Keuka Saturday at noon in an elimination game.

Katie Finch threw her second straight shutout, striking out 11 and allowin just two hits.

Second baseman Donnalynn Cross led off the game with a home run, hitting the first pitch Buffalo State threw over the right field fence. The Red Dragons added a run in the second on an infield single by Rose Morrison that scored pinch runner Lexi Deming. Bethany Williamson's sixth-inning sacrifice fly scored the game's final run.

Buffalo State's only two hits came consecutively in the second inning on singles by one-out singles by Marissa Mariano and Kyrstin Lekki.
